The Byonik Pulse Triggered Laser is a non-ablative, non-invasive laser facial designed for overall skin rejuvenation. Rather than removing the surface of the skin, it works with your body: the treatment is timed to your own heartbeat using a pulse monitor. It aims to hydrate, lift and tighten the skin, and is customised to each individual. Appointments typically take 45 minutes to one hour, and most people return to their usual activities straight away.
The treatment uses three components: a dual-wavelength triggered laser, a pulse monitor, and a hyaluronic acid gel applied to the skin. The laser stimulates collagen production and microcirculation, while the pulse monitor tracks your pulse and oxygen saturation to time the laser pulses and support antioxidant absorption and cellular rejuvenation. The gel is used to enhance the treatment, with the aim of a brighter, fresher and more even complexion.
Byonik is used for a range of skin concerns, including fine lines, redness, rosacea, sagging skin, wrinkles, dryness and uneven skin tone. It can also be used to work on skin texture, brightness and overall complexion. Because it is non-ablative, it is suitable for a wide range of skin types, tones and ages. A consultation helps determine whether it is appropriate for your skin and goals.
The laser operates at approximately body temperature (around 37 degrees Celsius), so the treatment is generally gentle on the skin. Most clients describe a slight warming or tingling sensation, and the procedure is typically well tolerated without any topical anaesthetic. It is non-invasive, and you can usually resume regular activities immediately afterwards.
Results vary depending on individual skin characteristics and concerns. Some people notice improvements after the first session, but optimal results typically require a series of treatments, usually between six and eight sessions. Skin may continue to improve gradually over time as it rejuvenates.
Arrive without makeup, and avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and smoking on the day of your appointment. Eat beforehand and stay hydrated to reduce the chance of light-headedness during treatment. If a special occasion is coming up, plan your appointment at least one to two weeks ahead. Avoid anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications and certain supplements for five to seven days before treatment unless your GP or specialist advises otherwise. If you have a history of cold sores and are being treated near the mouth, over-the-counter antiviral tablets taken the day before or on the day may reduce the chance of an outbreak. If you feel unwell or have an active infection in the treatment area, reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
